School visits are very important to us. Group representatives who identify themselves can make a free inspection visit and we will do everything we can to make your visit a success..
The display area is packed with relevant information for projects on marine life and local ecology. Your inclusive guided tour with an aquarist can be tailored to meet your needs. We can send you a teacher information pack and copies of worksheets if you contact us. If you are going to visit us you must book to avoid clashing with other schools….we are very popular at peak times (May-June) so don’t leave it too late!
A Health and Safety hazard assessment can be sent in advance of your visit.
If you want to find out more about the aquarium displays go to `Home` and then tab `What fish can you see`. Also go to `General information` and tab `Conservation` to find out more about local ecology and how we tie in.
Coaches are welcome at the aquarium. Whether you are just passing by and simply want a coffee and a browse in our gift shop, or want to organize a full guided tour for your passengers you are most welcome. Drop off and parking are easy , and visitors and locals alike love our café (seats 65 inside, with tables outside for a further 30 weather permitting) overlooking the harbour with it’s fishing boats and views across the Solway. If you would like to book your passengers in for a tour we would need to know in advance, and a special group rate would then apply.
