National Marine Week: 2 -17 August. The wildlife trusts are running a number of activities to encourage families and individuals to visit the shore and discover the wealth of wildlife that live there. more info here
Wild Oceans Cookery Classes: During September Cumbria Wildlife Trust will be hosting a number of events to promote sustainable seafoods. Click here for more details
National Trust Open Days: Join a tour exploring the last mineral to be worked in the Lake District. Force Crag Mine, Coledale Valley near keswick (24th August): tour lasts 1.5 hours not suitable for under 10 yrs. £4.50 non members. Phone 017687 74649 to book.
Ravenglass Coastal Partnership: Join a local expert on a number of different events: High and Low Tide (31st August): meet at the Ravenglass village car park at 11am and explore the estuary with the tide at its fullest, then later that same day meet up at 6pm at Drigg Road end to look at the spectacular life forms uncovered by one of the lowest tides of the year. Go With the Salt Flow (22nd August, 6th September): meet at the Ravenglass village car park 10am and cross the Estuary by ferry to see how the tide changes the environment twice a day. Bueaties and Beasties (20th August): meet at 10am Drigg Road End and join an expert to explore this Special Area of Conservation. Phone 01229 717600 for further details about all the above events.

Pensioner Special: Every Wednesday pensioners will recieve 10% discount in our Cafe and Gift Shop. Just let the till staff know you are a pensioner to receive your discount.
